Elevate every meal-the timeless appeal of table linens
There's something special about gathering around a beautifully set table. Whether it's a cozy family dinner, a casual brunch, or a festive holiday feast, the right linens set the tone. Now is the time to place your orders for holiday table linens to ensure you have everything you need to make your tablescape picture perfect. I mean doesn't the food always taste better when seated at an exquisitely appointed table?
Seem daunting? It's easy really. First start with a beautiful tablecloth. We have classic options in stock, like Matouk's Lowell in white or Sferra's Acanthus featuring a subtle jacquard weave. Or if a little more pattern is more your vibe Sferra's Pondicherry (a collaboration with Scalamandre) is a beautiful option. Don't forget to add a silencer pad from Matouk as an added layer of protection for your dining table.

Not sure what size tablecloth you need? As a general rule of thumb you want between a 6-15" drop all around. The longer the drop (how many inches the cloth hangs off the side) the more formal the occasion. To determine your size, you measure the length of your table first, then decide on the drop you want on each side and multiply that number times 2. Then add the length of the table plus the drop number together. Math isn't your thing? Just bring your measurements of your table with you on your next shopping trip and we can help with that too.
Next, you want to decide on the perfect placemats to complement your tablecloth and dinner theme. Consider a natural woven placemat to add some texture that fits with the season. Or we have multiple colors in stock of the sought after Julian Mejia line. These placemats are sold in sets of 4 and are both practical and beautiful. These durable mats wipe clean and come with a felt lining for added table protection.

Next, the perfect napkin can steal the show. Cloth napkins are an easy way to make your table look as if it was curated by a professional. No amateurs here. Fold them neatly beneath flatware for a cleaner, modern look, or tie them loosely with twine and tuck an herb into each one to add an unexpected touch. Below are Matouk's Magic Mountain line for a bit of whimsy, or if solid hues are more your vibe, Sferra's Festival napkins come in 100 colors so you're sure to find the perfect match.

Another way to customize your table is by adding napkin rings. We carry a wide selection of rings in the store, and it really is like the jewelry on the table.

Lastly, it's time to add those few final touches such as candles and decor. Scattered pumpkins, gourds, or tree branches cut from your own yard with unique shapes can all add a natural element that contrasts well with the elevated pieces. Consider tall tapers for a more elegant meal like our Orrefors collection, or chunkier pillars for a more casual feel. Bonus is the added ambiance that candles add. Remember to consider unscented versions to not interfere with the natural scents of your meal. Now you are ready to entertain. Bring on the guests!
